Professionalization program for students in IT careers.

Règlement intérieur SI

Samedi Informatique ethos (Saturday IT Classes): a safe space, zero stigmatisation, clear discipline, and hands-on learning with concrete outcomes at every step.

1. Purpose & Scope

These rules apply to all learners (secondary-school pupils and university students), at all sites and for all formats (Saturday classes, intensives, à-la-carte, coaching, cohort). Enrolment and first payment constitute full acceptance of these regulations.

2. Values & Non-Stigmatisation

  • Dignity & equality: no stigmatisation or mocking is tolerated—whether linked to academic/technical level, accent, language, origin, gender, social situation, disability, having or not having personal equipment, religion, or appearance.
  • We critique the work, never the person. Any serious breach (harassment, bullying, discrimination) triggers immediate sanctions.
  • We foster a supportive climate, professional language, and active listening.

3. Language of Instruction

Courses are offered in French or English, according to the learner's preferred language.

★ Please indicate your preferred language at enrolment so groups and materials can be organised accordingly.

4. Minors & Parent/Guardian Communication

  • Samedi Informatique welcomes secondary-school learners (minors) and university students (adults).
  • At a parent/guardian's written request, the centre may confirm the class end time and the learner's departure time after each class (or on an agreed schedule).
  • For minors, parent/guardian contact details are mandatory. Unusual situations (significant delay, illness, incident) will be reported to the parent/guardian.

5. Punctuality & Attendance

  • Arrive 30 minutes before class for reception, set-up, and technical checks.
  • Roll call is taken at the start. Late arrivals that disrupt the session may be held until the break.
  • Departure: learners must leave the premises no later than 30 minutes after class ends, except for approved group work.

6. Access, Badges & Safety

  • Badge required, visible at all times on site.
  • ID checks may be requested.
  • 🚫 Prohibited: weapons, drugs, alcohol, dangerous objects, and any illegal activity.
  • Safety instructions (exits, fire, first aid) are posted and must be strictly observed.

7. Phones & Personal Devices

  • During class, phones off and put away.
  • Exception: strictly for a learning need, with the instructor's permission.

8. Personal Equipment & Active Learning

  • Learners are strongly encouraged to bring their personal laptop to every session.
  • If you do not have one for a session, inform the centre in advance: an exceptional loan may be possible (subject to availability).
  • Use centre computers, peripherals, and audiovisual equipment with care and according to staff instructions. Do not alter settings, install unauthorised content, or unplug equipment without approval.
  • Any breakage, loss, or damage caused by improper use is payable by the learner.
  • Back up your work: the centre is not responsible for unsaved data.

9. Facilities Use & Prevention of Disturbance

  • Maintain reasonable quiet in corridors; keep rooms clean; no food in computer rooms (water allowed).
  • No loitering or crowding at entrances, corridors, or windows; no audible music/videos in shared areas.
  • 🚫 Prohibited: solicitation/sales, offensive language, noisy games, running in corridors, inappropriate behaviour, filming/photographing others without consent.
  • Non-enrolled visitors (friends/relatives) are not allowed in classrooms or restricted areas; waiting only in designated reception areas if authorised by staff.
  • After class: no extended lingering on site; exit promptly and respectfully to avoid disturbing neighbours.

10. Group Work & Time on Site

  • Group work may continue after class only with staff approval, in the assigned room and for a set duration.
  • Groups must remain discreet, protect equipment, and vacate the room on time.

11. Absences & Catch-ups (session-based training)

  • If you miss a paid session, you may book a make-up at your convenience; each make-up costs 50% of the original session price.
  • A make-up is confirmed upon payment of the 50%.
  • If you miss a confirmed make-up, you must re-enrol in the session and pay the full fee.
  • If you arrive and there is no class and the centre did not notify you, the session will be made up free of charge, and you are entitled to one additional free session of your choice (subject to availability).

12. Assessments, Certificates & CQP

  • Per level: after 8 sessions, learners are eligible for assessment and receive a certificate upon success.
  • Per programme: after 24 validated sessions in the same stream, the learner is eligible to register for the corresponding CQP exam (subject to official requirements in force).

13. Academic Integrity & Intellectual Property

  • 🚫 Plagiarism, cheating, or identity fraud are forbidden. Cite external resources when required.
  • Projects remain the property of their authors, subject to rights attached to any third-party resources used.

14. Official Communication & Data

  • Information (schedules, rooms, instructions, updates) is shared via the centre's official channels (email / designated messaging). Everyone must check them regularly.
  • Personal data are processed for educational and administrative purposes.
  • Photos/videos may be taken for teaching or communication; right to object upon written request.

15. Discipline & Progressive Sanctions

  • Verbal warning
  • Written warning
  • Temporary exclusion from one or more sessions
  • Permanent exclusion (no refund for sessions already taken)

For minors, parents/guardians are systematically informed of major incidents and sanctions.

Final Provisions

The centre may update these regulations; changes will be communicated through official channels.

Unforeseen cases will be handled by management in the interest of safety, pedagogy, and mutual respect.
